West Branch

So, some of you might know that I went to New York. I forgot to post something. Here it goes. . . I went to a place called West Branch. It was right next to my hotel. I had dinner there. For appetizer, I had bread and butter. For the entree, I had lamb. For dessert, I had a mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would choose 5. You guys should definetly try this place the next time you go to New York.

Football!

So, a short time after the camping trip we went to a 49er's game on Sunday, August 22nd, 2010. We even got our own suite. It was really hard to find the suite. The food was AWESOME! I had 3 raw spicy ahi tuna tacos, buffalo wings and garlic fries and drank ginger ale. We had fun! Luckily, they won!

Camping Camping Camping

This summer I went to Arnold, CA. It was a fun place. I swam in 2 lakes. I hiked The Big Trees Forest. I walked my dog in the forest. I even heard coyotes at night. We had s'mores and made icy-cold water balloons. The first lake I swam in was Blue Lake Springs. The second lake I swam in was Fly In Lake(weird name name right?!?!). We didn't make the regular s'mores like roasting the marshmallows over the fire. NO! We got creative and put the chocolate in the marshmallows(cool, right?!?!). Then we put it in the microwave to melt. We didn't want to do this outside because the bears might want our food. YES, there were bears there!

Summer

Finally, it's summer! Not that I don't like school, I actually love it.  Back to the point. . . I'm probably guessing it's about 60-100 and up degrees in your house.  So here are 3 ways ways to cool yourself down:

  • have a water gun fight
  • drink ice cool lemonade, milkshake or smoothie
  • read a good book at the beach

Munch-Munch, Yum-Yum, Mmmmm = FOOD NYC

Top to Bottom: Crispy Rice Tuna(Koi), Pasta Trio-Gnocci, Spaghetti, Rigatoni(Becco), Zabaglione, Cannoli & Panna Cotta(Becco), & Roasted Crab, Mussels & Chicken Stock Rice(Fatty Crab)

While I was in New York, I ate some of the best foods in the world. One of the places I went to was Koi. This is where I ate the Crispy Rice Tuna. I love raw fish and this has to be the best tasting tuna ever. When I went to Becco, I loved the spaghetti and rigatoni but the gnocci was a different story(I don't like potatoes in my pasta!). The dessert was grrreattt! The one I loved the most was the panna cotta. Finally, the last picture is of the food we ate at The Fatty Crab. I love oysters, mussels and clams. The mussels at Fatty Crab is the best mussels I've ever had. Not pictured here is my dessert from Serendipity 3. Of course, the best part of Serendipity 3 is the famous Frozen Hot Chocolate(I was about to get the golden sundae but it cost WAY too much!). $$$$$

Poetry

Poetry is fun. Here are 3 reasons why I like poetry:

  1. You can express yourself.
  2. You can use your imagination.
  3. You live in your own world.
Now here are some poems I wrote:

The Olympics are here,
get ready to cheer.
Get out your gear,
let's drink some root beer!

The night sky is blue.
I have the bad flu.
I feel great.
I slept late.
I'm going to sleep.
I start counting sheep.
